There’s only one salsa setting in Bangalore where you can head with confidence if you want to do salsa. And that’s Latin Dance India, the most envied name in the salsa circuit of India. Popularly known as LDI, this Bangalore based Dance Company was launched in 2007 by Sai and Kirthi, in collaboration with their alma mater, Latin Dance Australia, which is known as a Talent Factory, producing 70% of Australia’s Latin Dancers.

Having trained under the world’s very best maestros, Sai and Kirthi clearly know how to strut their stuff. They aim to take dance to new and greater heights through LDI. And they are qualified to do just that as they have represented India in over 15 countries and winning titles in international championships. Their crowning moment came when they became the first Indian duo to qualify for and compete at the ESPN World Salsa Championships ’07, held in Orlando, USA.

With its studio and office based in Koramangala, LDI boasts of the best dance floor and an amply mirrored, fully loaded, 1700 sq ft sprawling dance studio which provides almost all major dance forms including Salsa, Bachata, Hip Hop, B Boy, Bollywood, Ballet and Belly Dance. There are guest instructors often conducting workshops in Contemporary and Jazz.

The weekly Salsa party, “Step Up”, hosted by LDI gives all its students and other Salseros of Bangalore a platform to get together and dance. What better way to improve your footsteps and band with the best of the cool crowd.

LDI hosted the 1st India Hip Hop & Latino Festival (IHLF) in Dec 2009. IHLF had some of the world’s best Salsa, Hip Hop and B boy Instructors performing and conducting workshops. Thirty hours of dance workshops done over 3 days saw the dance enthusiasts as well as professional dancers forge ahead. Many participants from all over the country poured in to be a part of IHLF 09.

The LDI dance workshops, Festivals and classes all aim to share and spread the love of dance to all segments of people.
